Christmas with a bunch of little ones is always a mysterious and exciting time! This year was no exception in spite of my lack of motivation because of being pregnant and having “vein issues.” It doesn’t take much extra effort to make Christmas special for kids, they are usually (I guess if you’ve trained them this way), happy with what they get! We didn’t decorate this year until one week before Christmas, and took it all down the week after Christmas. Anyway, it was a blessed and beautiful time, and we are all left thankful for yet another year of celebrating and sharing with the beautiful family God has given us, both immediate and extended.
Our glorious “Walmart tree” I was teasing Chris that we should take it back and exchange it, by the time we decorated it a week after we got it, the price had dropped by $10 ;)
Here are our precious kids, patiently awaiting their stockings Christmas morning. We had gotten in from Orting Christmas Eve at about 12:30, Chris and I didn’t get to bed until 1:30 so we were thankful the kids let us sleep in until about 9:00am Christmas morning!
We quickly got dressed up for church and headed out the door, the kids looked a little bit like they had just rolled out of bed but oh well ;) They were still cute! Here we are, they just got home and discovered that “santa” had in fact remembered our house this year! ;)
Connor seems to like what he got :)
Victoria LOVED her new baby and carseat, with a little diaper bag and bottles. She is well on her way to making a great mama one day! ;)
The big girls were excited about some much needed new clothes. Those little stinkers just wont stop growing!!
It doesn’t show here, but the boys were especially excited about new digital watches from nana and papa! And have been wearing them non-stop ever since. They beep on the hour :) So much fun! Thanks nana and papa!
We were blessed to share Christmas with nana and papa Burns, they met us at church in the morning and then spent the day with us at our house celebrating the birth of Christ with us! I should add, they came over on Christmas Eve while we were in Orting, and cleaned up our house! They also brought pretty much all the food with them for our big Christmas feast. Did I mention I have the best in-laws? I know you are all jealous, but you can’t have them :)
Here the girls are playing with their new doll house and barn sets, oh my goodness, the cuteness just never ends!! They were very blessed by Chris’ work, Chris’ grandma Eva, and nana and papa, all added to the sets. So very fun!!
The boys are having so much fun with their new blue track!!
There is something wonderful about having new gloves, and new pajammas! We have been so very blessed this year! God is so good, and we look forward with great anticipation what He has in store for our family in 2012. It’s going to be a very good year, I can feel it already!
