It's hard to see the damage here but the other day we opened up the exterior wall in our kitchen that we could tell had some rot in it from a leak in the roof. To be honest we were just feeling a little overwhelmed with this problem. As many of you know, the damage in the home that we purchased was a lot more than we budgeted for, it's just really hard to see the extent of the damage until you start tearing out the carpet, and that was when we discovered all the problems. So our budget has not allowed for hired help, so you can imagine how blessed we felt when our friends the Ahearns offered to drive 2 1/2 hours to come and help us rebuild our kitchen wall. The boards were completely rotted and so they had to tear out the old wall studs and while we were at it we replaced the window so I have a llittle bit bigger window and its clean and new, I love it.

They built this supporting wall to hold up the ceiling, tore out the old rotted wall then built the new wall. Randy and Elisha were awesome help to Chris.

The guys also tore out the rest of the rotted flooring in the living room, Chris is going to start finishing that today. He had to go get some more tools to finish the job.

While the guys worked in the kitchen, Kelley and Elizabeth primed the girl's bedroom and the kids bathroom/guest bathroom. I was able to get the walls in the girls room taped and mudded and am going to finish painting their room today, order viagra online. What a huge blessing to have help!!. We can't say thank you enough.

Here's the completed wall and new kitchen window, hopefully this week we will get the new insulation and sheetrock on the walls so I can mud and paint :)

Here's our new master bedroom door, isn't it beautiful?. I still need to paint it and it needs trim.Well I better get going, Chris just picked up a double recliner so we have something comfortable to sit on while we are working on the house. I think that has been the hardest part about living there, there is nowhere for us to rest after all the work we do, Lasix prices, we don't have our comfortable chairs or bed, and we dont have a floor that I can stretch out on. So this loveseat will be a huge help to us. I I'm going to cover it though until we are done with construction :)
