Appriciating my kids in the midst of life

The other day we were sitting around the table just finishing up dinner with Tam and San and Aidan said something that I won’t soon forget. Guenna was talking to Eian as though she was an adult talking to a little baby, which is not uncommon for her. She and Cair both LOVE babies! Aidan, just out of the blue said, “she’s going to be a wonderful mother some day!”
How precious is that? It brings me to tears just thinking about it now. We moms can get so discouraged at times with the bickering that our small children often accomplish. It can be quite wearing at times. But even Aidan, whom is often annoyed and frustrated by his little sister, can see that in her future she will be a good mother. I thank the Lord for these little pieces of the bigger picture. Sometimes we are like our children, so focused on the attitudes that we see in our children today that we forget to have faith that God has a much bigger picture for these dear children.
I love my babies so much, I pray often that I am worthy of the gift of their life. Thank you Father for entrusting them to me.
Hope the house is going well. The colors look great and so does the dining area. Big difference from when we were visiting a week ago. Hope the weather is warmer. Are the tulips blooming yet?
