We’ve Got the Keys!!

Welcome to the Burns Home!

Well, it’s official! The loan is completed and we own our own home, we are so thrilled to be done with this loan process. Both our loan officer (who has worked as a loan officer for 20 years) and our real estate agent said that this was the most difficult transaction they have ever done! I was wondering!

Anyway, all of that work is behind us now and we are so happy to be homeowners. Our builder is going to start work on the laundry room floor today and we purchased two new entry doors (front and back) and all of our appliances last night. We are really wanting this process to go as quickly as possible but it will probably be at least a month and a half before we can get into the house. We are going to pick up the kitchen cabinets on Monday and Chris and the boys will be tearing out carpet/floors on Saturday, while they are working on that I think I will be working on getting some more of our supplies, some of the paint and possibly some of our bathroom cabinets. We are so thrilled about this part of the adventure, it’s really been fun dreaming for this house, it’s the first time I’ve been able to really get excited about putting work into a house and not feel like it’s wasted energy and money. We plan to live there for awhile so all the work we do, we will get to enjoy :)

Thanks all of you for all your prayers for us during this time we’ve been working on buying this house. We have been so blessed by all of the prayers and encouragement. We have the best friends and family! What a support. We plan to stay updated on the progress but it will be a little challenging as we will be busy and we will not have internet out at the house other than our iPhones, we had to switch to AT&T as Tmobile doesn’t have coverage out there, but the nice thing is that we don’t have to pay for internet.

Well, I think that’s it for now!

Congratulations! Best wishes as you get it fixed up. It’s exciting to make a house your own, just the way you want it. I love the mountains in the background. So pretty.

Just remind yourself, when building (and renovating) it always takes longer than you think it will!
