Today is the day!

40 weeks pregnant, in labor today!

I’m 40 weeks pregnant today and I’m in labor on my due date! It’s kind of hard to believe that I’m going to have a baby on my due date, on October 31st no less. I went to see the midwife at 6:30, our good friends the Tafts watched our kids for our appointment, it was so sweet of them to let us get out by ourselves before the baby came. We picked up the kids, headed home (to a clean house) and I got to bed around 9:50. I rested for as long as I could but by the time I had gotten to bed the contractions were already starting. So I rested for about two hours and then as the contractions were starting to intensify I decided to get up and move to the livingroom. I put together my yummy apple cider concoction and now I’m in the living room trying to decide if I should call the midwife to come, she has a 45 minute drive. When she checked me tonight I had dilated to 2, yeah!  All those contractions this week were doing something. Right now I’m having contractions about every 4-5 minutes and they are pretty intense. I’m thinking I should have this baby in the next five hours, we will see. Think I better get going and call Charlotte to come. :) Good night, not sure if I will blog again during labor, I’m feeling pretty shaky. I’m sure that Chris will be doing updates and will for sure post a picture of the baby when he comes, even if it’s just a phone pic. Can’t wait to be on the other side of this adventure! I’m so blessed that today I will get to hold my precious son and I will also no longer be pregnant :)
