Six Random Things
Okay, for the record, I don't usually do these things...but, I've been tagged by a good friend. So here I go :)
This is called the Random Things Meme...and here's how it goes:
Rules of Engagement:
1) Link to the person who tagged you.
2) Post the rules on your blog (copy and paste 1-6).
3) Write 6 random things about yourself (see below).
4) Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.
5) Let each person know they have been tagged and leave a comment on their blog.
6) Let the tagger know when your entry is up.
Here are 6 random things about Jenni
1. Repetitive things bug me, like my 5 year old singing in the background, a song (or about two measures of a song) over and over and over again for hours on end. I don't like to listen to one particular song or CD for very long, when I was in labor with Aidan they played the same CD for literally hours, unfortunately I couldn't seem to communicate that it was driving me crazy!
2. I grew up on a small farm and I considered my animals my friends. I would talk to them and sing to them and even take naps with my cows. One of my young cows (a female) I named Dave.
3. When I was in my early 20's I had decided that I didn't want to ever marry, and if I did marry that I would not have children. I was going to be a missionary and thought that children would interfere with the work I would be able to do for the Lord. I'm so glad that God had other plans!
4. In high school I took a total of 8 years of foreign language, 4 years of Spanish, two as a teachers assistant, and two years of Russian. I've also lived in Costa Rica and have spent time in Russia on missions.
5. I decided when i was 14 that I would never date, and that I would wait for my first kiss until my wedding day. This dream came true when Christian and I courted (he was my first relationship with a man) and we had our first kiss on the alter!
6. I used to eat dirt. I can remember eating handfuls of dirt, I must have been about 4 or 5! I guess that's where Cait gets it, thankfully though she seems to be losing interest in actually eating it, it took me a little longer :)
Alright, who do I want to tag?
How about Nicole because her blog has been a little silent for awhile
And Adele, she's just plain hilarious! And yeah, it's been since 2007!
Ari, my good faithful friend down the road :)
Robin, because I think she will actually do it! ;)
Tamara, because she's my sister and she should do it! ;) And I love 'er!
And Liz, because she has seven kids and absolutely no time to do it, but she really funny and may feel just a little manipulated by me, so just maybe! :)
Well, my kids want a snack. Better get going. By the way, I'm really proud of myself, I usually see these things and don't respond. Especially if they come in by email, I just delete them, so I hope you feel REALLY special April! :)
That’s hilarious, Jen! I’ve never known you to do something like this. In fact I usually don’t send you things like this on e-mail, because I figure it’s a waste of time! :)
1. Maybe the song Aidan is repeating is part of the one that was playing while you were in labor!
2. My favorite of your animals were the pigs, Fred and Freda Friendly. Well, maybe they weren’t yours, but they thought they were!
3. You never told me that you were thinking of not marrying, or having children. I would have been very tempted to come against that lie from Satan! I’m also very glad the Lord had other plans!!!!! (And that I didn’t have to intervene!)
4. I was so proud of you, and still am!!
5. I’m so glad that dream came true, and that Chris was your dream man!
6. I know you’ve heard this story before, but I’m going to tell it again, just in case some of your readers haven’t heard it. You couldn’t have been more than three when you came walking across the lawn saying, “Wocky, Wocky.” Thinking you were talking about your cousin Rocky, I said, “Rocky is at home with his mommy, Honey”. So you spit the rocks that you had in your mouth into your hand, and repeated, “wocky, wocky”!
I love you, Babe!!
Way to call it Jenni. I did it! It was kinda hard to think of 6 random things..even though I am a random person. Thanks again for the fun.
Believe it or not I’m playing the game. You forgot to link who tagged you.
I feel really special, Jenni! Thank you so much! And for the record, I usually delete these kinds of things in my email as well. But, I love Karen, and so…I actually enjoyed doing it!
I had fun doing it too :) Thanks for tagging me!
