It’s been awhile

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a post on my Homemaking Blog, but I did one this morning about the beets we harvested from our garden a couple nights ago. So exciting, and they are so beautiful!

    MMMMM…I love beets!

    We didn’t get to plant a garden this year, and now, looking at everyone’s harvests, it’s really tough!!! Oh, how I miss my beautiful tomatoes! And oh, how I miss my lovely and tasty cucumbers and peppers!

    Okay, I’m done whining now!!!

    Those beets would taste delicious steamed and cooled, then tossed in a homemade vinegrette salad dressing, maybe with some feta cheese too!

    Anyway, be grateful for the harvest!

    Thanks Leanne, for the suggestion. I LOVE beets that way but with the heartburn from pregnancy I cant do vinaigrettes, they just make things worse :) But maybe next year around harvest time I wont be pregnant, who knows :)

    I’ve experienced that feeling as well, seeing other people’s gardens and wishing I had my own, this is the first time we’ve been blessed to have one and we’re loving it!
