Happy 1st Birthday Cait!
April 9th, 2008 by Jenni
Some of you may think that Cait’s birthday was a couple weeks ago (since we had a birthday party for everybody a couple weeks ago) but Cait’s birthday was on Sunday April 6th, does that day ring a bell? :) It does for me! Watching Carrie give birth a couple days ago brought back a flood of memories, and part of me was wishing it was me lying there on that bed giving birth. Not because of the pain but because you get to keep that sweet little babe. I so love everything about after having given birth. I love the first feeling of my sweet little one lying on my chest all bloody and crying. The assistants rubbing her little body with warm towels. The sounds of all our loved ones in the room oohing and awing over that sweet little one that I was priveledged to help bring into the world. I love those first precious moments just gazing at our sweet babe. This babe that I get to nurse and nurture, train, teach and discipline. There seem to be so many struggles along the way, but the joys far outweigh the hardships. Every one of my children, I would birth them all over again. My mom says, people think you are crazy! Oh well :)
Caitriona is no exception. Almost my whole pregnancy with her I wondered, “how in the world am I going to take care of four children, four and under?!! I can’t believe Guenna will only be 1 when she is born, what am I going to do?!!” But the moment Cait was born I knew everything would be just fine. She has been a blessing and a joy her whole sweet life. She is the easiest baby with such a sweet personality. She’s so happy, everyone notices her little outgoing smile in the stores and comment how cute she is. She has starting doing this really cute shy tilt of the head when people look at her, she’s just such a ham. Today she had a lady in the Costco food court making a fool of herself trying to get Cait to do what she was doing, it was quite hysterical!
Caitriona, you are a sweet little lady. Your daddy and I treasure you with all of our hearts. We couldn’t imagine life without you, what a blessing you have been to our family. I love the way you light up when daddy comes into the room and how you bawl when he leaves for work in the morning, I can already see that sweet bond forming between you and him and it truly blesses me. I love the way you respond to your brothers and sister and how you all play so well together. Tonight you are sleeping in the big kid room for the first time, you are growing up so fast! I keep saying, it’s a good thing I’m having another baby because mine is growing up already! I thank God every day for you, for your personality and your sweet ways. You are a breath of fresh air to our home. I love you Caitriona. I pray that God will give me wisdom in training you this year, and that we will have so much fun getting to know you better. I love you sweet daughter! Love mommy :)
Happy Birthday Cait!

And what a beautiful girl she is,and to already have her daddy’s heart!! Your writing shows a few tears drops may have hit the computer keys. It is so exciting to here your love for her.
Happy Birthday Cait!
Love you all,
Kelley
Yea! Happy Birthday Cait!!! What a sweet little girl you have in your lives… Hope she had a wonderful day as a princess!
Of course she is the sweetest best baby in the world, she’s fourth born!! Jenni, you were my easiest baby, maybe because I was finally getting the hang of it!! Love the “fishy kisses” I can hardly wait to see you in a little over a week. These gas prices make it hard to see you as often!!
sigh… what a sweet little girl… I can’t even imagine:-) All I saw in those pics was pink everywhere and a super cute little girl. Jafeth is almost two now and I am not even pregnant, you are a blessed lucky woman!!! He is still my little baby though too. Happy birthday Cait:-)
When you pray over your children, do you ask God for wisdom in raising them? For patience? Etc.? Because it seems nearly everynight that is what I am praying in our bedtime prayers.
CUTE pictures! She sure does capture the heart of those that are around her. Sanford loves that little girl, too. Every time he sees a picture of her he comments on how cute she is. It’s so precious to see how attached she is to her daddy.
Love you, Sis! Love you, too, Cait! AND everyone else! Can’t wait to see you guys in May.
