Mommy - "Oh Guenna, mommy needs to get you a pony tail holder, your hair is wild today!"
Aidan - Sounding just a bit defensive, said matter-of-factly, "That's just part of being a lady."
I took this picture right after our little interlude, I wanted you all to see what exactly Aidan thought was "just part of being a lady." :) While I think her wild hair is beautiful, with just a bit of creativity I'm sure you can imagine that it doesn't stay too clean while she is eating or whatever else her little two-year-old mind instructs her to do. I love having both genders among our children, we have so much fun and discovery and role playing. There truly is never a dull moment in the Burns' household! -

Oh Boys!!!! When my houseband tells me “YOUR BEAUTIFUL” I look at him with day old mascara un-brushed hair and my jammies on and try to believe him…….Thank you Aidan I will always believe him. Men truly see with their hearts!!!!

I love it! He’s learning to accept the good, the bad and the ugly and to see beauty. Sweet, sweet moments. You guys are doing a great job!
I was reading your blog this morning and Emily (my two year old) came up and seen this picture of Guenna and said “Dirty hair!” LOL my little one has plenty of hair days like that.
Silas just walked up and said “What is Guenna DOING?!”
Pretty cute alright. These kids that are growing up in the world of blogging…I wonder what they’ll turn out like? :O

Liz, that is my question about a hundred times a day, “does anybody know what Guenna is doing?!” “Aidan can you go find Guenna and tell me what she’s doing?” :) Those two-year-olds are just loads of endless fun aren’t they? :)
