What’s for dinner tonight?

I don't know. Anybody have any good ideas that they want to share with me? I've got a whole list of meals I could prepare and somehow none of them sound very good. So what are you having for dinner tonight? I'm fresh out of inspiration!  I think I may end up taking a nap instead of getting dinner ready, my poor honey :) Oh well, we always eat something!

Are you just now feeling better after being sick? I was SOO sick after we got back from Honduras, I am just now feeling better, so I totally understand!! Well at church Sloan got a baggie with a bunch of beans and spices in it and it gives direction for making “friendship soup” so we are giving that a whirl tonight. I did add a bunch of cooked red potatoes and some meat to it since those things weren’t included. Then we are having salad and garlic bread with it, so hopefully it is good. I am not as good as you though, it is a salad kit from safeway and a loaf of garlic bread from cj’s bakery. I wish I was as inspired as you cooking ladies out there!!! Hope something tumbles together for you, how about grilled cheese sandwiches, those are always a quick hit around these parts:-) Blessings

Thanks Kim :) I did something similar to your suggestion. I made fried egg/ham/cheese sandwiches. They were very yummy! In fact Guenna kept asking for more, and more, and more! Daddy didn’t get to finish his :)

A crockpot/store-bought chicken is always good. In times when you are not wanting to make dinner the most, that’s when I eat comfort foods…red potatoes, the high-carb types. I like the salad idea. Something from a box is easy too. Spaghetti (from the jar) and your friends frozen meatballs are yummy. You are so great! God bless you and bring full healing to you and your little ones! I love you.

I just put together the next two weeks’ menus. Maybe you’ll get an idea or two from them:

    Baked Potato soup
Chicken drumsticks with homemade mac and cheese
    Chicken Caesar salad
    Porcupine meatballs with rice
    Italian meatball soup (leftover meatballs)
Fiesta casserole for Sunday’s shared meal
    Baked chicken with stuffing
    Meatloaf and mashed potatoes
    Chili nachos
    Chinese chicken salad
    Sausage and egg casserole
    Chicken soup
    Corned beef and cabbage

I love porcupine meatballs. I had them all the time as a kid.
