What’s the deal?
Okay, I thought I asked everyone to pray that I wouldn't get sick, maybe you didn't get the message in my last couple posts? :) Just kidding, I know that some of you have been praying but in spite of your prayers and my sweet boys prayers, I got sick. Today was a hard day, fever all day, and four kids who were feeling pretty good. So, they had much more energy than they've had this past week.
We watched movies almost all day, and my sweet neighbor Dee brought the kids some hot dogs and a bag of snacks for lunch, I felt so blessed! I had made them a sliced apple and was pretty much letting them scrounge whatever they could find, isn't that awful?!
Feeling so much better now, my fever is pretty much gone and I don't think I'm going to get the bad cold/cough thing the rest of the family got. Poor Cait is still pretty miserable. She's teething, on top of the cold/stuffy nose/cough. And I think she might be fighting an ear infection, so I've been putting Mullen garlic in her ears. Seems like the fever is dying down so I'm pretty sure her body is doing the trick.
I'm REALLY looking forward to the family all being back into good health! Looking forward to being outdoors, going on walks, planting my garden, building a little coop for the new chicks (I don't want the other hens to kill them so I need to build a little pen for them while they are getting big enough to hold their own). I've designed it all in my brain and bought a few inexpensive supplies and the rest we have, scrap wood and such. Now I just need some energy so I can build it :)
Well, hoping that we can go to church this Sunday, we missed last week because we had sick kids. Hope you all have a glorious Saturday, and a blessed Lord's Day. Take some time out to do something fun together as a family; play a game, make some cookies, go to the park, go to the feed store and look at the chicks. We love weekends because we are always feeling more creative to do something fun with the kids, and outdoor work is always fun as well. Blessings!
~~~~NEWS~~~~
Let's pray for Sara who comments here often, it is looking like she will have to deliver her baby several weeks early (he's about 3+ lbs) due to high blood pressure and protein in urine. I'm sure she would appreciate prayers for peace and health to both them and their new little one. And congratulations to my good friend Rana who just gave birth to a healthy baby boy this week. She had a beautiful homebirth (her first) and it went wonderful, less than 2 hours of labor, start to finish. Now that's how it's done baby! Way to go Rana, I'm so proud of you and can't wait to meet your sweet little Gabriel! Congratulations to all of you, enjoy these sweet first moments with your newest edition.
:-) Thank you for he thoughts and prayers!!! We appriciate them all and just pray this little guy isn’t too little and that his breathing/eating will come along better than one could hope.
I hope everyone gets better in your house, especially you!!! It’s one thing for a husband to be sick and in bed or kids to be sick, but oh if mama gets sick sometimes the house just turns upside down real fast! :-) We’re thinking about you and praying for your health!
And congrats to your friend and their new baby!!! How wonderful! I hope they are settling in just fine and enjoying that precious baby.
Get better soon sweet lady, you always have a great attitude even in your turmoil:-) I love it!
