It’s a Hard Life…
February 2nd, 2008 by Jenni
It’s hard being the fourth child, I totally feel her pain. But boy, is that a cute face or what?!
Speaking of cute faces, Guenna gave daddy a run for his money today. In a nutshell - She wanted more of something a breakfast, so she threw her banana on the floor. Well Chris wasn’t going to let her get away with that, so he told her to pick it up and put it on the table. Well, she didn’t want to. Long story, really long. She’s got some tenacity that girl and when she doesn’t want to do something, she holds on with all her might! But daddy was tending the garden of her heart this morning, and I think he found some weeds. But that is okay, he also found some beautiful flowers :) Just ask Aidan, he told me today that Guenna is “SO pretty” :)

Wow. That looks like my Obed this past 9 hours or so!
What a cutie, even crying and fussing, she is adorable!
Oh yeah, when Abi throws something on the floor and refuses to pick it p, she acts like her knees won’t bend. She literally locks her knees and pretends her body can’t bend over to get whatever we are telling her to. LOL. (not fnny at the moment…. but later I can chuckle about it)
If THAT isn’t a face to break your heart!! :) I’ve witnessed Guenna’s tenacity…first hand…thirty something years ago!!!
Aww, poor Cait. What a sweet little face though. That story about Guenna did make me laugh just a little, even though I’m sure it wasn’t funny at the time…I can definitely relate to similar happenings at our home…
Caaaaaaait! That is the face for my last three weeks!!! (you know what I’m talk’n bout Jenni!) I LOVE that face! And I love our wonderful Daddies who lovingly tend to the weeds. This is my “favoritest” picture of yours EVER! You should b&w or sepia it for a framer but…make sure you don’t lose that tear!

I love the part about finding the weeds but then finding the flowers as well. Often times as a parent, I forget about looking at their little hearts as gardens. Thanks for the reminder. (I am a friend of Chris’ from long ago.)
Ok, Mom! I know what you are talking about in your comment and that incredibly rude!! :-D Ha! There’s hope, Jen, hang in there. I didn’t turn out all that bad. At least she has big brothers that are telling her how pretty she is, not ganging up on her with the other sister. Let’s hope, it stays that way! I’m sure it will.
Love you guys!
