Erg. He tends toward constipation anyway (really working to get a soiled diaper out. it comes out "wet" but it takes him a LOT of time and effort to get it out!)

I wanted to add, most people will say, start him on rice cereal or some other grain. I personally have had a bad experience with starting the babies on grains. They get really constipated with their first bowel movement if started on grains, I mean REALLY constipated! So I would just be careful, really with how much you give him period. Start it slow, giving him just small amounts at first even if he's crazy about it, until you see that he his system is handling it okay, then you can increase the amount you give him (like maybe start with a couple tablespoons, a couple times a day for a week or so, then you could up it a little once you see that he's passing it okay. And if he does get constipated you can give him some sugar water or prunes. Then once he's passed that he should be okay :) Hope this helps! Have fun!

We use the high chair from graco (from Walmart, the cheap one for I think around )for Cait and a wooden one for Guenna. I like Cait's because it's pretty versatile, it raises up and down, you can use the tray or you can scoot her up to the table.

I think all of these things are just decisions that we all make based on convenience and what works best for our families. I started the other kids on solids earlier because it was convenient for me, if you want to start Theo go ahead, but if you don't want to start him yet, don't. Some docs believe that your milk is not sufficient beyond 6 months, but I have a hard time believing that :) Anyway, if you want to start him now I think 6 months is plenty old enough if you are ready for that and you think he's interested in eating solids, some are and some aren't at this age :) Your little Theo is such a cutie, I was so glad we got to meet him last month! Bless you!

which high chair(s) do you use? if you had to do it over, what would you use/be looking for?

(Theo is approaching 6 months. With 4 teeth already i have a feeling the doctor at the next visit is going to suggest starting solids!)

Kim, I would love to come over sometime and help you tackle one of those closets :) Seriously! I have a friend who comes over on occasion and helps me with my closets and then I go over and help her with hers, it's fun!

Sarah, we do use high chairs for the little girls, the boys have tall chairs. And for the rest of your question I have just done a post on my homemaking blog that should answer your question about feeding babies. I have been wanting to do this post for awhile and your question spurred me on. Thanks!

Thanks!

Have fun!

Have fun!

which high chair(s) do you use? if you had to do it over, what would you use/be looking for?

Thanks!

Bless you!

Thanks!

You are my hero:-) People often comment on how "clean" my house seems what with having four boys, but the real secret is, everything is shoved into closets. My mom was rifling through our linen closet for a pillowcase the other day and said "is there no organization to this entire closet?" She was NOT impressed! hehehe She would be impressed with your cupboards however, great job!
