Well, my house is less disastrous, and we were fed! My mother-in-law so generously saw my need today and brought us lunch, which stretched into dinner. Isn't that so sweet of her?! Cait is doing much better today, she threw up all over me last night at dinner and then had a fever all through the night, poor baby. But she was in much better spirits today, not 100% herself but much better than yesterday.
Now, I must go to bed. It feels good to have the laundry almost done and almost all put away. But will it ever get completely finished? No. And that's okay :)
Oh Maaaan…I’m sorry you’re in sickie stage.
Are you still (depending on health) planning to head down our way this weekend? You should run by church on Sunday if you can. Directions are at http://www.hofbd.org
Hope you’re having a better day. May the Lord bless you abundantly.
Love,
Karen
(P.S. The pictures of Tamara’s wedding are precious – she looks so happy. I’m glad for her. And it looked like you had a wonderful time – what a great vacation!)
Hey Chris and Jenni, How are you? It’s been quite a while since we’ve chatted. Every time I see your blog I am amazed at how beautiful your family is, you are truely blessed. I love all of your kid-quotes, etc…My mom used to write ours on our calendar and she saved them all…I guess this is the baby book of the future! : ) Blessings to you.
~Kristen
P.S. I was looking at your recommended book list and I thought that I would mention one of the best marriage/bedroom : ) books we’ve read, (I am totally blushing now,) Anyway, the book is called; “Sheet Music.” It’s written by a christian man, it is very frank. We’ve had to read it in bits because it is so strait forward and we are a tad shy. And, of course you have to “eat the meat and spit out the bones” as Pastor Craig Schlesinger used to say. The book was recommended to us by the marriage counselors at our church in CO during the pre-marrital classes we took. We got the book about a year into our marriage and we are still reading it in bits. Blah, blah, but I have to explain that we don’t endorse everything in the book, however, it is still a wonderful asset to our marriage. So, there you have it. : )
Thanks Karen for the invite, one of these days if not this weekend! :)
Good to hear from you too Kristen, I read you post the other day on the paint ballers, oh my! Thanks for the suggestion on the book, I’ve heard of that one but haven’t read it. Always looking for a good marriage book!
