The big sister!

The big sister!

Originally uploaded by Chris and Jenni.

The other day I saw Guenna pushing her stroller around. I asked her, “should we go get your baby?” Excitedly she said, “uh huh!” and began running in the direction of her room. Her dollies were in […]

Our kids could watch these over and over. Hey wait, the kids are in bed and we are watching them without the kids…enjoy.

Meet Snoopy :)

We have a new baby in the Burns family, meet Snoopy, he or she is just two days old! Our neighbors chickens have been setting again and they said if they hatched some we could have them. This […]

Tamara’s Bridal Hula

Tamara did a beautiful hula for her man Sanford at their wedding a few weeks ago. Then she did it for him again at their reception in WA on the last leg of their honeymoon. I was quite disappointed though when I discovered that I had not recorded most of the video, just the […]

My first cherry pie

My first cherry pie

Originally uploaded by Chris and Jenni.

I made a cherry pie last weekend with the cherries I picked from our neighbor’s garden, Aidan helped me make it. It was fun and suprisingly (cherry pie isn’t my favorite) it turned out great!

Better days

Eamon has had two good days in a row. Thank you Lord, I really needed that. I didn’t realize how grumpy he’s been for a long time until he was happy for the first time in a long time. I kept waiting for the smile to go away and for him to dramatically put his […]

Beans

I’ve been busy today. I was thinking about how long it’s been since I put pictures on my site, but that’s life these days. I’ve been busy working on switching bank accounts, that is a huge process that we’ve wanted to do for a long time but we pay all our bills online and it’s […]

Searching for answers

I’ve just spent a bunch of time on line tonight looking for answers. Eamon has had a hard month or two. His behavior is just plain grumpy pretty much all of his waking hours. I’m not sure what to do with him. I discipline but I know it goes much deeper than a discipline issue. […]

Cool guy

It’s late and I’m tired but I just needed to say that I have the best husband ever! I left him at home with four kids for about 4 hours. I put Cait down to bed at around 7:00 and he finished up dinner with the other three and then put them to bed while […]

A little what?!!

Yesterday I was finishing up the last few chapters of “Swiss Family Robinson” for the boys (and Guenna who kind of gets it by osmosis).  When I read to the kids I try to read with feeling and emotion to keep them engaged, as well as to help them understand what I am reading as sometimes I […]

It’s time for bed

Well, my house is less disastrous, and we were fed! My mother-in-law so generously saw my need today and brought us lunch, which stretched into dinner. Isn’t that so sweet of her?! Cait is doing much better today, she threw up all over me last night at dinner and then had a fever all through […]

Curious Eamon

Eamon’s quote of the day, so far.
Eamon, upon seeing Cait’s baby blanket; white embroidered bunnies with pink round circled tummies, wondered out loud, “why do these bunnies have nursing pads?”
The curiousity of little boys.

Change of plans…

My house is still a disaster. So the whole potty training thing has got to wait again for at least another week. I was really sick last night but doing better today. Then I woke this morning to a really grumpy Cait, which has never happened yet. She’s had a fever all day, possibly sick, […]
