My man installed two screen doors today! We have enjoyed these warm early summer days with many flies in our home. But no longer! Chris took care of that problem today with the installation of a screen door for the front and a cool magnetic screen for the back slider which seems to be the best option for our family at this point. I'm excited to be able to leave our doors open this year through the hot part of the summer! And not have flies wandering about and landing all over our children! I hate seeing my sleeping babies with a fly walking all over her face! I know there are worse things in the world but I wont miss that flies that's for sure :)
I've been busy this week, making jam tonight, sourdough bread, juicing every day, making three meals a day for (six) people, keeping my dishes clean, laundry day today, going for walks, went to the library yesterday for story time which was a lot of fun, grocery shopping, reading to the kiddos, and most importantly hanging out with my husband! This is certainly a busy season, but I love it. Gotta go, Chris just got home with the rest of the pectin so I can finish my strawberry jam. I'm so excited, it's sugar free! I sweetened it with freshly made apple juice and it tastes great :)
Jenni,
Your life sounds like so much fun right now! I look forward to the day that I’m not a working woman (at least out in the the career world) and am able to stay home and raise my family. You are blessed!
Thanks Mel :) It is fun, and challenging and definitely a learning experience but I love it!
I love looking at the pictures of the processes it takes you to make things. I’d love to see the Jam process. I have had jam by my mother in law and grndmothers, but have never watched them do it, and have never donw it myself. I think i am going to try to make some after we move on the 14th.
