Another sick-o :(

Chris doesn’t usually get sick. In fact he is almost always the last to get sick, if he does get sick. Yesterday he started to feel like he was fighting that cold I had last week, and today he’s pretty sure it’s got him :( I’m really hoping and praying that he wont get it full force like I had, I just don’t want him to feel like I did last week! So he went to bed early tonight and we are hoping with a couple extra hours of sleep and over the weekend that he will start feeling better soon.

Tonight I was trying to take Guenna to the urgent care center because I’m pretty sure her ear infections are not cleared up, she’s been pretty fussy today and pulling at both her ears. I left after the time they close because Chris had to work late so I will end up taking her tomorrow. If she could get rid of her cold I’m sure the ear infections would clear up but we are having a really hard time helping her get over her cold. Poor little girl!

So last night I was thinking I was going to have the baby. I was having contractions (real ones, not just the braxton hicks) every five minutes for about 45 minutes. But they stopped, and honestly I was relieved. I’ve got a lot more to do before this baby comes! A couple days early would be fine but I’m not hoping for two weeks :)  But I know, if the baby comes, it’s all going to work out. Anyway, after the contractions stopped I remembered Guenna last year, I had good strong contractions almost every day for about two weeks, off and on and then when they really started they were intense, three minutes apart, and pretty much into the second stage of labor. So I did the first about 10 hours of labor over a period of two weeks, which isn’t such a bad thing. Then my labor was only 5 hours. So we will see what happens this time, so far all three of my labors have been really different from each other, but I’m hoping that this one is somewhat like Guenna’s, it was by far the easiest!

Well, I think I better go join the rest of my family and go to bed. (Although I am tempted to stay up and make the curtains for my bedroom that I just bought material for tonight, but I will resist the temptation and get some much needed rest. Maybe tomorrow night :)

    Hey Jenni!

Wow! I finally have a chance to catch up with your blog! You have been busy. I’m so glad you are feeling better and what a wonderful friend Rana is to you. That is such a blessing that she came and took care of you and your family. God is so faithful to provide for our needs, isn’t He?

I love the picture of you pregnant. You look awesome!!!! It looks like you are slimming down. That’s what happened to me when I only gained seven pounds in the pregnancy with Noah. I only gained 11 with Levi and when I look at my pregnancy pictures with him I’m surprised at how much smaller I looked than with my other babies. IT’s a wonderful feeling to have the weight gone instantly after delivery as well! Wahoo for you. Weigh to go (pun intended!!!).

I hope we are all well enough to still come for the party monday morning. We’ve had a nasty bug here this week and Timmy’s still feeling cruddy. I’m fighting it too. Chrissie, Rich and Levi are the only ones who are showing no signs of getting it and I pray they don’t.

Could you send me directions to your house?

Well, I have to run. Loved reading your blog and seeing the adorable pictures. Guenna looks so cute in her fancy little dress! How fun!

    Love ya!!!

    Jenni and Chris

A simple prayer for you and your family. Lord, I pray that you would put your healing hand over the Burns house and that all sickness would flee at the presence of Christ! I pray for rest for Jenni as she prepares to have a new child of God. And I pray bountiful blessings for their family.
