Sick day…

Smoothies for breakfast for the two sick kiddos (or maybe it was lunch, I can't remember) Yeah it was lunch, they had oatmeal for breakfast, actually Eamon didn't eat breakfast. He was really sick today but Aidan seemed much better. Movie Day-We watched 3 Roy Roger's films today. Aidan is sporting his new "Cowboy Hat" and gun. Defending his little sister from the bad guys. I was sorting through baby boy clothes that were freshly washed (and I am happy to report that most of them turned out just fine, not too many moldy stains!) This hat was stained so I didn't mind him stretching it out. He's sure now that since we have all these baby boy clothes out that we are indeed having a boy. I reassured him that we have plenty of baby girl clothes too, mommy was just washing the boy clothes just in case :) I started getting sick yesterday and so today I pretty much felt miserable all day. Lots of coughing and congestion in my chest. But thankfully I didn't have a bad fever like Eamon, he was lathargic all day long. And tonight when he was laying in bed he said, "mommy I have an owie in my ear." :( Poor guy. That is the first he has said anything about his ear hurting, and he said it was the one that the doctor said was infected. Guenna has been pretty fussy and clingy today but they are all still loving all the medicine they get to consume while they are sick! I was giving Eamon his antibiotic and he said, "It's bubble gum, I yike it!" One of the joys of being sick :) Everyone is sleeping soundly and we are hoping they sleep through the night. Eamon was so cute though this morning. He and Aidan both slept in but at around 7:00am Eamon started asking for water. Daddy was up for awhile before he left for work so he would go in and give him a drink and then he would just lie right back down and go back to sleep. Then Chris left for work and I heard Eamon say "Daddy? Can I have a drink of water?" I went in and gave him a drink, he didn't even sit up to drink it, then pathetically said, "I wipped mommy, can I have a towel?" He dripped water on his neck. I just love that sweet two-year-old vocabulary. Good night-hoping we all feel better tomorrow! I have a feeling though we are in for some more Roy Roger's, thanks Ari! :)
