I’m blessed

Today one of my good friends came over and helped me clean, we washed dishes, fed our kids, visited, and I even got the baby boy clothes out of the garage that are moldy and mildewy and threw them in the wash to see what I can save.  Thanks Ari for blessing me today, it was so nice to see you and your girls, you are truly a great friend!

Shortly after Ari left we put in a movie because I had been on my feet all morning and needed to get my feet up. We started watching "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and about half way through I realized that Aidan looked like he was going to cry. He burst into tears, worried that those two men were going to steal the car! From there on he kept asking questions with a frog in his throat, I could hear his worry over the safety of the car and we finally decided that it was just too much for him. Then I realized that he was really warm, and started putting the pieces together, that's why he was so emotional. We've been fighting colds all week but I really thought we were getting better. A couple of hours ago he threw up and for the last couple of hours Chris and I have both had headaches and felt a little under the weather, hoping it's just in our heads!

So I had to call my friend Karen to let her know that we are going to have to cancel our double date tomorrow night with them, we have soooo been looking forward to it! And really wanted to do it before the baby comes, oh well :) I blame it fully on myself, I know that he got sick because we planned it so far in advance, if it had been a last  minute thing nobody would be sick right? :) Oh well! Hope Ari and your family stay well and don't get what we seem to have had while you were hear today, wouldn't that be a fine 'Thank You'! Blessings to all, and if you think of us please pray that the puking stops at Aidan, this pregnant mommy doesn't need to have the flu right now! :)

We did not even make it to the scary kid catcher. I shut it off before he came on screen :)

We are so sorry that we didn’t get to go out with you tonight – there were plenty of moans and groans from the kids.
    :-(

We hope that you have health soon and we’ll look forward to that double date sometime in the future!

    Blessings,
    Karen, for the E’s

What a blessing to have your friend help you clean.

I had many nightmares from Chitty-Chitty Bang Bang as a child, there are fun things about the movie but we have opted not to have our children watch it, as much as I love Dick VanDyke.
