While we were at the neighbors house today they gave us tulip bulbs. The back of the van is full of them, we have hundreds and hundred of bulbs of different varieties! They were given to them and so they took what they wanted and passed as many as they could off to us. We are going to take them to church with us in the morning and hopefully some of the ladies will be feeling up to planting them this week because they really need to get in the ground. If there is anyone out there who is feeling like making a trip up to us, we have tulips and you can have some. I’ve always wanted to have a fun flower garden and this year I will, as long as they come up! :)

I planted a bunch of them tonight, mostly after dark, Aidan and I had fun getting our gloves dirty. He was “working hard.” Thank you Lord for the many blessings we received today. It was so neat getting to know our neighbors so much better and feeling like they are our friends now. It’s great to have good neighbors, we have so much to offer one another. I just hope we can be as much of a blessing to them as they were to us!

How fun, sis! I wish I was in WA to come over to your house and get some tulip bulbs. I look forward to seeing your flower garden. Well, we probably won’t be up there when they are blooming, though. :-( oh, well. Some day.
    Love you!

My tulips are already out of the ground!!
My daffodils are like 5″ out of the ground!

These are supposed to be planted in the fall - not now. Either way, you may have some luck - but - at least next year you’ll have some!!

I thought of you too sis when I got these, thought you would love to experiment with me :)

Randi, thanks for stopping by, do we know you? :) Yeah, we know they were supposed to be planted awhile ago but we heard you can actually plant the bulbs until mid February, as long as it’s still cold and they should still do fine just may not bloom this year, or maybe a late bloom. But thought it was worth a try!

I can’t imagine planting anything right now. The ground is covered in 5 or so inches of snow and it’s stinking cold. Consistantly in the teens with an even colder wind chill factor. Why do people live in Michigan? I just don’t get it!
