Breakfast prayer

We take turns praying in the mornings as we sit down to breakfast. This morning it was Aidan's turn. He went through the usual things, thanking the Lord for this wonderful breakfast, praying that we will have a good day, prayed for daddy to be safe at work and for us to not be too busy, and then he ended the prayer with, "and Lord I pray for my wife, that she has a baby in her tummy and can't find out. Amen." I'm not exactly sure what he was meaning about the last part, my guess is that he hears Chris and I talking about how we couldn't find out the gender of the baby in my tummy. So there you have it, it's never too early to start praying for your son's wife! He just beat us to it! :)

That is so precious! I began praying for my future husband during my teen years, but I guess it’s never too early to start!
    Have a blessed day!

  2. *smiles* When I got married, my parents let me know that they started praying for my spouse when I was born. (of course, that means they were praying for him for 5 years before he was even around! But that’s just one of those things. It could as easily have meant they’d missed 5 years of prayer coverage!)

Oh come on. I find it hard to believe that you havne’t prayed for Aidan’s wife before.

Okay, I guess that wasn’t really very honest, we have already been praying for all their spouses :)
