Daddy has to go to work
This morning Chris was getting ready for work and the kids got up a little early so they got to see him off. Only Aidan was not that excited about seeing him off.
Aidan: Daddy where are you going?
Daddy: I'm going to work.
Aidan: Why are you going to work? I don't want you to go to work.
He often prays that daddy wont have to work anymore, which we think is sweet that he wants daddy home but we are trying to encourage prayer for God's provision through daddy's work, which can be hard for a 3 1/2 year old to understand.
Daddy: Why don't you want me to go to work Aidan?
Aidan: Because you are married to mommy.
Well, now that's a good reason to go to work, but he can be pretty convincing sometimes!
Maybe one day I can work from home 6am – 10am play and then 12pm – 4pm. Wouldn’t that be fun? I am glad that God has provided a job and that I can work to feed and clothe and shelter our family.
I got a good chuckle out of that one!! What, if Daddy is married to Mommy he should stay home with her at all times?! What a cute boy! When I talked to him tonight, the first thing he said was, “We were wondering if you wanted to come see us.” His way of expressing himself just cracks me up!
Chris, will this comment keep the terrorists away?
Hope to see you tomorrow, or Saturday, “Good Lord willin’ and the snow don’t rise!”
That’s so cute. Your son is quite the thinker.
I like when Adam is home too, even if it’s a paperwork at home day, his presence is still comforting.
Last week when Adam was leaving in the morning for work the kids were hugging him and yelling “bye Dad! we love! see you later!” (randomingly and loudly not in unison or anything) and Noah while waving his hand wildly called out “Bye Da…See yayer!” It was sooooo sweet.
