26+ weeks pregnant
January 2nd, 2007 by Jenni
Just a thought for the day, our little baby is growing so fast and this pregnancy is flying by. I’m 26 1/2 weeks pregnant and have about 3 months left. I’m just starting to feel more pregnant as the baby is growing and filling up my abdomen, although I think this baby is really far back like Guenna because most of the time I just feel a little bit overweight in the front :) Just starting to get heart burn from my growing baby. I was telling my midwife this past week that at every stage of this pregnancy I have been in shock that I am as far as I am. I keep thinking that I will get over the shock of being pregnant with baby number 4! At the same time we are so excited to see what God has in store for us in this little blessing, and the more children I have, the more I look forward to the birth experience instead of with fearing it:) God is so good.
Our baby looks something like this photo right now…we have now reached the point where we are seeing the midwife every two weeks, I can’t believe it! The boys keep talking about their babies in their tummies, Eamon told me the other day that his baby hurt :) I think Guenna is going to love being a big sister, she will have a real live doll to chew on and pester all day long! :) It will be interesting, hopefully she grows up a lot in these coming three months, but I’ve decided to prepare myself for twins, meaning Guenna being the other baby not that I could possibly be having twins!

I went to my doctor for the first time today and she was sick! :( I know, doctors (or midwives) can get sick too. But I’ve been SO excited that it was really a let down! Though I don’t know now if we’ll get to either see a heartbeat or an ultrasound so early after all — even though many do, maybe this one does not. My midwife did not have any new patient spots left until I would be going in to my 11th week. But one of the assistants saved the day for me. She got the things started she could and suggested I see “erin” — the other midwife. Since I don’t particularly care, I got to reschedule for Friday. AND! She sent me home with a bunch of stuff to read.
Hi, there! Just dropped in to check up! Heard you ran into Julie Uptain! What a small world! I like seeing your Christmas pics. Hope you recover swiftly from the holidays, and I wish you the best in your New Year’s Resolution. Mine last year was to become a laundry queen, which I have done pretty well, by getting on top of laundry and bedding, towels and rags. I have done major organizing and labeling for the kids’ drawers and spare clothing and created useful systems. This year my resolution was to get pregnant! Ha ha. That’s a pretty easy one compared to last year. Hope to see you soon. I miss your kids.
I was so anxious for every stage of pregnancy especially with our first, everything is so new and exciting so I can totally understand what you are going through! Hope you get to hear the heart beat soon, that is really exciting and makes it feel so much more real!
Rana, thanks for the comment, we miss you too! You know that Aidan asks to go to Faith’s house almost every day?! Yeah, he loves you guys. And so do we!
