Merry Christmas!
December 21st, 2006 by Jenni
My mother in law said I could title this photo, “Yes we have our hands full!” :) Or maybe that was the next one where Chris is holding two of the kids? Next year we will both have two (but I wont be expecting again, right?)
We are having a fun time getting ready for Christmas this year, we have been so blessed and have already gotten to spend lots of time with family and friends. I’m so thankful for all the wonderful people that God has placed in our lives and how he takes care of us in spite of our weaknesses and our shortcomings. God is so faithful. Our hearts are full this Christmas as we look back at this year. It has been a full year, we’ve been given the blessing of our first daughter who is an absolute joy, and now are expecting another blessing. We have endured the trauma of losing our house and many possessions, and have seen God replace so many of them through kind and generous people. It’s been a year of ups and downs but we’ve learned a lot through it all, and are thankful for the lessons even though at the time they seem hard. We are thankful for God’s provision, for God’s grace and for good friends and family. We hope that all of you have been blessed this year as well and can look back and see where God’s hand has touched your life through the days and months. Sometimes we really don’t see it until the season has passed and we realize how the Lord has protected and guided us. May God richly bless you this coming year! Merry Christmas from the Burns family!

I love this picture of your family, as well as the other new pictures you posted! Your family is indeed blessed, have a wonderful Christmas!
What a fun family Christmas day! We bought that Little People Nativity this year, isn’t it great?
Merry Christmas to you all! :)
Thanks Catherine, I guess the pictures shows personality :) Thanks for the Christmas wishes!
Roberta, the kids love the nativity, very glad we got it. Now we can safely get a more delicate one and they wont bother it, right? Probably not! But oh well! Merry Christmas!
I’m not sure why but when I read the title to what you mother-in-law had to give this picture I thought of one thing we do. For some reason we usually only do this when we are walking into church all holding hands and Haley in an arm. We bearly fit on the side walk walking side by side like that. Ane we say “one little happy family”. I told Elizabeth that we won’t be a big happy family until we at least have six kids. How different our view of family is then this world! You have a beautiful “little” family!
Sometimes it feels like a big family but most of the time it feels small. I told someone yesterday, “we would love to have a large family…” and then later I thought to myself, “she’s probably thinking, you’re already there sister!” :) I guess it’s because my Grandma had eleven children that I don’t think that four children is a big family! :)
