Lasik eye surgery
(Disclosure-I'm getting paid $7.50 to do this post)
A few years ago my mom had the lasik eye surgery done and she was very impressed with the results. Her vision for reading isn't perfect but she can see distance 20 20. I've been wearing glasses since seventh grade and they can be a pain at times, I would love to have the money to have the surgery so that I could see without glasses, maybe one day. There is a website called USAeyes.org that provides information about Lasik. The website seems to be complete but I was not impressed with the layout of some of the pages, the information is great though. This website gives a thorough list of Lasik doctors that they certify, I think that is good to know that when you are choosing a doctor. I would recommend this site if you are considering the surgery, they give some really great information, didn't really change what I think about it but I think it's good to have understanding going in to the surgery, and they can help you find a certified doctor in your area.
I have definitely considered getting Lasik eye surgery done, my long distance vision has never been good and I’ve worn glasses or contacts intermittantly since I was a child. I’d probably have the surgery done too, if I didn’t have such an aversion to hospitals and having procedures done…I know the results are really good, but I always think, what if something went wrong? I’ll probably have it done someday though, it would be great to be able to see without having to worry about wearing glasses or contacts all the time. I’ll have to check out the website, it sounds very informative.
