We got a house!!!
Well it's official, we finally found a house! We had our interview today and signed the lease, we'll be moving in on the 1st but not doing the final move until the 5th. We are so excited! It feels so good to know where we are going to live.
A little about our new house (pictures to come soon). It is a small 3 bedroom house in the country, nice big yard, on a road with only three houses, wood floors throughout the house, even a freezer in the shed! We are really excited to get all the items that all of you have donated and start putting our house together. It it kind of hard to imagine ahead of time where things will go because we are getting several pieces of furniture donated that we don't yet know what they look like. It will be fun!
Thank you all for your prayers and everything. We can't tell you how much it has all meant to us. We still have a long way to go, still discovering things we are missing, still picking up the pieces, still healing from the trauma. But God is our Rock, our Fortress, our Deliverer, our very present help in time of trouble. Please continue to pray for the boys. I think they are just really ready to have our own place again and I am believing that they will find some healing when we move into a place. Pray that Aidan doesn't worry about this new house "burning up" and please pray that God will help them to not be too anxious as we wait for the first. Today when we were leaving the house Aidan was being really whiny and finally I just looked him in the eye and said, "what is the matter Aidan?" He responded, "I want to live there!" Poor guy, daddy had just explained that we are going to live in that house but that they have to fix it up before we can move in. Poor guy, he just needs some extra grace this week.
Praise the Lord! I’m so glad to read that you found a place to live. It sounds lovely!!
Cheers.
Yea! I’m so excited for you guys! I can’t wait to see your place and watch you put a lovely home together! Congratulations. These next few days till the first will be go by quickly as you anticipate moving in!
Lots of love,
Ari
Chris and Jenni
What amazing testimonies you both are to our God! Even in the midst of tragedy you lean on the Rock, and it is evident in the words that you write. I can only imagine that it is more evident to those that physically see you. It is exciting to see that God has answered your prayers about a house…He is so good about giving us what we need. It is going to even more exciting to see how God is planning on using the two of you in sometype of ministry as you continue to share your testimony and story about your house.
I just keep thinking that those people that gave you donations (especially the ones you didn’t know) might only hear “God Bless You” from you as you thank them.
Many Blessings Burns Family!
Wow, what amazing provision! Sounds like it’s bigger than the other one & already fenced! I knew His blessing would be more than what you were expecting & this certainly is!
Thank you all for being excited for us, we are anxious to get started moving in! There is not a fence but the landlord is going to pay to have one put in so that will be nice, until then we will put our wire fence up temporarily, and we will need a gate from off the porch, the yard opens onto a country road where people tend to drive faster than the speed limit (35mph) so we will definately need a fence!
That’s fantastic news, Jenni! God certainly is working things out for your family. ((hugs)) and His blessings on you guys!
How wonderful Jenni, I am so happy and excited for you! What an answer to prayer! God has certainly provided for your family in the last couple weeks. It will be great to see pictures of your new place! God bless!
