A fun little question for you :)

My friend Roberta does something that I think is really fun, she asks two questions on Tuesdays and calls it Tuesday Two. I think it’s a great idea and a fun way to get to know each other better. I thought I might do something like that myself. So here it goes, you can post your answers in my comments or in your own blog (along with recipes if you get around to it). Check the comments for my answers as well.

1. What is your favorite dessert to make in the summer time?

2. What is your favorite cold drink?

By the way, we were given a bread machine (something I never thought I would own). I’m having fun playing with it. I will probably mostly use it to do my bread to the point where you bake it. I like to make rolls instead of a loaf, because it is whole wheat the bread tends to be a bit crumbly so the rolls keep it together better. And your sandwiches end up being a smaller portion if you don’t make the rolls too big :)

    1. My favorite dessert in the summer time (and in the winter) is Rocky Road ice cream by Haggendaaz. With heavy cream on top.

    2. My favorite cold drink right now at least is Green/Peppermint Iced Tea. This is how I make it. Boil water, steep two bags of each green and peppermint teas for 10-15 minutes. Put the hot tea in my container and add a heaping tablespoon of honey and let that dissolve a little. Then fill it up the rest of the way with cold water and place in the fridge over night. It makes 2 3/4 quarts (because that’s how big my container is :) and last me about two days.

Green tea is really good for you, helps with all kinds of things, and peppermint makes me want to drink it :)

Hey that’s me! :) How fun!!
    1. Favorite Dessert?
Hmmm…just one? lol For summertime I really like Strawberry Shortcake especially with fresh delicious local berries, homemade shortcake (I use the BH&G recipe and sub in 1/2 whole wheat) and REAL whipping cream…sooooo yummy!
    2. Favorite cold drink?
Iced Tea has been my choice lately too. I do love peppermint iced tea, so refreshing. I am going to try your way with the green tea added. For special treats I like to make a lemonade recipe I found in Family Fun. Fresh squeezed lemons, water, sugar, fresh mint leaves…let it sit in fridge for at least 1/2 hr. add to that gingerale and crushed ice. (I’ll look for the exact amounts if you like.) It too is so refreshing and a yummy blend.

Jenni, If you are looking for bread machine recipes I have a wonderful whole wheat bread book with a buttermilk roll recipe that is fabulous. We prefer them to white.

I would love your recipes, both the bread and the lemonade, the boys would love it!

The first thing that came to my mind was. Dessert…I don’t eat the desserts I used to so I’m not sure about that one. But Linda Bunker’s ice tea is sounding really good to me right now.

Yes, I always think of Linda Bunker when I drink iced tea:)

My favorite dessert THIS summer is Fred Meyer Bakery Chocolate Chunk cookies! Only 2 weight watcher points each! One or two a day satisfy my desire for sweets and chocolate! I had a glass of Jenni’s Peppermint Green Tea Iced Tea last weekend, and it was pretty tasty. I’m like my grandpa though, as he heaped two or three teaspoons of sugar in his tea, “I like my tea sweet”! If I hadn’t been holding Guenna I might have gotten up and put more sweetener in it! Guess that’s why I need Weight Watchers!!
