Heading to Mindcamp in the morning

Tommorrow is going to be a fun day for Jenni and I. We are driving to Seattle to be part of Mindcamp 2.0!

Seattle Mind Camp is a self-organizing, digitally minded, entrepreneur-driven, overnight Seattle confab.

I have wanted to be part of this event since I heard about the first one last November. We will be meeting lots of people and sharing ideas, learning about technology and dreaming about what is possible with a bunch of nerds. Now can you see why I want to go so badly? My parents are watching the boys and we are taking Guenna with us.

Basicly this is the first event that we will be attending that lots of other people will be live blogging and posting pictures to flickr throughout the event. Photos will be tagged with mindcamp2.0 and you can see them as the are posted. Since we dont have a laptop we will wait to upload them after we get home. I will also try to get as much audio recorded as possible. I have a list of people I want to meet, we will see how it goes.

I’m excited for this weekend, honestly a little nervous. It’s a little out of my normal element but Chris seems to think I will have plenty to share. I say “share” because this is not an event that you can just lose yourself in the crowd, there are only 200 people in attendance and the sessions will be small brainstorming sessions with like 10-30 people depending on the interest of the subject. So anyway, I’m looking forward to being able to support my husband in something that he loves and also learn some things and hopefully have a little to give as well :) I’m bringing a book along just in case there is a moment of boredom ;)

Well, you guys are so interesting. Chris, you are a little bit of a nerd, but I appreciate your nerdiness! Nerds are cool and they have cool and interesting friends. So, I hope you had a great weekend! Look forward to the pics!

OK… So any update on what you all talked about at Mind Camp? Would have been fun to join you but as you know I was in California at a family wedding…
