She’s HERE! Welcome Abigail Jane! :)

Welcome little Abigail Jane! Her mama and daddy and sibblings have been anxiously anticipating her arrival. Only 12 days overdue but a perfect little baby! She was born to Erik and Karen yesterday at 7:54, weighed 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 1/2" long. What a beautiful little girl and Guenevere is so excited to meet her! We are going to be in their area this weekend so we are hoping we might get a quick peek at her. We will be heading out tomorrow to volunteer at a Homeschool Conference and are going to be staying with our friends Doug and Carol. Congratulations Engstrom family! We will be praying for a speedy recovery for Karen and great health for little Abigail. Bless you guys!

  1. Aich! You’re so close. Overlake is HUGE. And very generous. They let our church use it in the afternoon a year or so ago, when our normal building was flooded out and we weren’t going to be able to use it for 4-6 weeks.

I’ll be at a conference of my own this weekend though, http://www.abchurch.org/ministries/adult_ministries/imago_dei_institute/1/ — the Worldview Apologetics Conference at Crossroads Bible Church.

Luckily, I don’t live quite so far away.

    Have fun!

Praise the Lord, another little friend for Guenna! :) She is really beautiful! Tell Karen congratulations from me!

It was a great Conference. Overlake is huge and it was a great facility but it was not a cheap venue. It costs a whole lot to rent a facility like that.

  4. Partly it depends on how much the church is behind it.

The Apologetics Conference rate is kept very low because the facility rental is, I am sure, not “as much as it is worth” — not at a commercial rental level — because one of their pastors is one of the big pushers of the Apologetics Conference. They consider it one of their ministries just like Antioch does. (I don’t think its quite as big as Overlake either)
