A date with mommy at Starbucks

Last weekend we were all sitting at the table for lunch when Aidan said to me, "mommy, may I take you on a date?" Chris and I talked about it and decided that it would be a good day to do that since he had been asking about it for the past couple of weeks. So I asked him where he wanted to take me on a date, his response, "um, how about the play area at the mall?" Chris and I laughed heartily at this response! And that my friends is why daddies have a responsibility to teach their sons how to win a woman's heart! Trust me, she doesn't REALLY want to go to the gun show ;)

When we were on our first date I told Aidan what daddy and I do on our dates, how we talk to each other and tell each other how much we love each other and such. He interrupted me with a sweet little comment about how much he loves me. He's a quick learner! In fact the other day I put on a new shirt and he said to me after admiring my new shirt, "you smell pretty mommy." How sweet :)

One last thing about our date. While we were sitting there drinking our coffee/hot chocolate a young lady walked up to order and he asked me, "mommy she's a princess?" "yes honey, she is" :) Such a tender little heart, and one day he is going to make a young lady a very fine husband, and some daughters a fine daddy. Until then, I will soak up all his tenderness and hold all those precious gifts in my heart.

I just read the last few posts….how adorable! Isn’t being a mommy great? And the tenderness of little boys towards their mommies is priceless! Little girls are very different, but just as precious. I’m so excited for you that you’ll get to experience both, although I was perfectly content with my four girls…didn’t know what I was missing out on! Now that I have the boys, I wouldn’t have missed it for the world!
How are you doing? You’re in our prayers!
    Hugs,
    Jana
