The drama continues…
So, the boys have been sick. And until yesterday we thought it was just a bad case of a cold but the past couple of days Aidan has been coughing so badly he will throw up or have dry heaves and his breathing has been pretty labored this past week so I thought that I should take him in again. They are pretty sure that they boys have whooping cough, which has been going around more than usual this year.
So we are all on antibiotics and house-bound for 5 days until the antibiotics set it. We usually like to do alternatives to antibiotics but because the baby could come any time now and it's really dangerous for newborns to get whooping cough, we decided not to mess with it and get this bug out of our systems as soon as possible.
It's been a little distressing watching Aidan be so sick, we've been trying everything to help him get over this cough and now they tell me it will possibly take another month because of the virus. So please pray for a quick healing process in all of us, luckily I have not had too many symptoms so they tell me that with taking the antibiotics I will probably avoid it altogether, which is definately fine with me. I need all the strength I can get these next few weeks!
Thanks ahead of time for praying for our family, we can definately use it! :)
Yeah, the couple who adopted? They were so worried about the infant and whooping cough they aren’t taking her to the nursery at church until the season is over. First I heard that it’s particularly bad for babies. I’ll pray for you guys!
Wow you guys! I’m so sorry you have to go through this right now. We are praying for you guys. Feel better soon! And we are looking forward to meeting your new baby girl! Hope to talk to you soon Jenni! Ari
Hey Chris and Jenni,
Your family is in our prayers….that you’ll be well over before your baby arrives and that little Aiden will be much better more quickly than predicted.
Have a restful Sunday!
We look forward to getting together with you after everyone is well.
Jana
Yikes, I guess if it’s not one thing, it’s another! We’ll be praying for your family’s quick recovery and the safety of the baby!
