I had a dream :)

Last night I had a dream that I was at my brother Andrew’s house and they just happened to have an ultrasound machine there, so naturally we did an ultrasound and guess what? My baby was a girl! Well, it would be fun if the dream came true, but then again I am glad that not all dreams come true. Like when I drempt with Aidan that he had two heads and 6 toes and his foot was coming out of my tummy (all different dreams). He was as normal as a baby can be and thank God that those ones didn’t come true! But still, sometimes it would be nice if only the good dreams came true :)

Cute Aidan stories: Last night we were building towers with our blocks and Aidan likes to build towers that he can sit on. So he made one and even gave his little throne a back to rest against. He sat royally atop his throne and began to pray, “Lord. Mommy go berk (work) Do-bay Copy (this is how Aidan pronouces daddy’s workplace). Mommy make dinner, make two skirts, Amen.” He had several other prayers and then soon after his little show began Eamon wanted to do the same (I took a couple pictures I will post later). So we made a little throne for Eamon and they sat on their little pedestals and sang “Holy holy holy” the one and two-year-old version. At one point Aidan was singing a bit too loud for my liking and I asked him to sing a bit quieter which was really hard for him to accomplish in the midst of his song. So I suggested praying again. He began again, “Lord. Mommy said no singing, obey mommy, Amen.” He makes me smile.
He is just starting to figure out who is supposed to obey who. For instance he sometimes wants brother to obey him and will get quite upset with him at times. We have to explain to him that he is not to boss brother around and that it is mommy and daddy’s job to discipline Eamon. To which he usually responds, “Mommy’s job?” This morning after we gave thanks for our meal (we had already been talking about obedience at this early hour so the subject was fresh in his mind), he asked me, “Daddy obey mommy?” I told him, “No, daddy doesn’t have to obed mommy, mommy obeys daddy.” “Oh,” came his reply and then “mommy obey daddy?” and I am sure the wheels were turning!!! I sat there, and thought for a moment, “is that right? Yes, the Bible says, ‘wives submit to your husbands in everything.’”

What a cute story. Seeing that picture reminds me of Elizabeth and Morgan. Morgan is always quick to participate in what Elizabeth is doing.
Oh my gosh! Those are sweet stories! Will likes to build chairs too. Why do all chairs have to have a back on them? Aiden is a real thinker to be wondering about all that at his age!
I hope your dream comes true!!! What great stories with your children. Sophie has the same challenges of realizing she is not in charge of Mattie. She always says, “I am a little charge” and I say, “Yes, you are in charge of your attitude!” It is so fun to teach our children truth.
Sab, me too :) It is so funny what our kids come up with some times!
Such cute stories!
