It looks like WE HAVE A WINNER!!!!

Eamon's First Steps!Well, ladies and gentlemen of The Walking Contest, it looks like we have a WINNER!!! Eamon decided that today would be a great day to take his first step! September 8, 2005, he is 10 months and 22 days old. So that means the winner is...Karrie McCrea!!! Karrie was the closest, she voted 10 months 20 days, and the next vote was Amelia who voted 11 months 1 day.

I was not at all suprised at how it came about. I was in the kitchen making corn bread when I just happened to look down at Eamon in a strange stance in the middle of the kitchen floor. I really didn't know what he was doing, actually I thought he was trying to decide if he wanted to sit down or not. He was really concentrating and then all the sudden, he lifted up his foot and took a step! I couldn't believe it! No bells or whistles, not even anyone watching as far as he knew! Who knows, maybe he's aready done that a few times and I just missed it :) So I ran and got the camera and the pictures here are of his 2nd and 3rd steps. So much fun! I think he's hooked now, he has continued to take a few steps here and there so he will probably be running in a couple weeks. But don't worry, we wont have a contest about that one ;)

So he didn't beat his daddy to walking but pretty much tied up with his big brother! Thanks for all the fun everyone, and for sticking with us! This contest has been going on since mid-July!

Congratulations Karrie on being the best guesser! We will have to get you your picture! I will post the examples of what you have to choose from and you can let me know which one you want. Thanks all you guys for such a fun contest! We'll do this again!
